Some employers have begun to inquire about what keeps their employees coming back each day through “stay interviews,” surveys, regular company town halls, and other opportunities for employees to provide feedback. But these are not widespread practices. Many employers continue to speculate or make assumptions as to why workers are quitting or not returning to work. Employers who build mechanisms for regular feedback from their employees will have a way to extract this information in real time for years to come.
